I need to take a deep breath and continue.  :)  What was all of this about?  My mind ofcourse!  I had a number of ideas running at rapid pace around the holes in my head today and came up with something very interesting as a potential market which really hasn’t been tapped into out here in the United States.  Now after I post what this ideas is, we can then ridcule or praise it!

For the last couple of weeks I have been researching a physical product I could sell online which was cheap to develop and high in profit margins.  This caused me to focus my attention on a sector which I am also a consumer of, that sector is vitamins and supplements.  I am a fan of both green tea extract and fish oil pills.  I tend to order the majority of my supply from good old Puritan’s Pride.  I have dealnews.com to thank for this, since they are always posting some sort of deal for Puritan.  This made me think a little further into the development of a product, since the supplement market is quite competitive as is the majority of markets, why not dig deep and see what I could possibly do myself to bring a brand to the industry which targetted a niche with spending money.  My idea lead me to developing a supplement brand for gamers!  That’s right, those highly coordinated individuals that tend to survive on pizza and energy drinks.  Then it dawned on me that I could probably develop the brand myself by simply going to a supplement manufacturer and asking them to create a private label brand for me of there available product offerings.  I jumped on alibaba and contacted a couple of these companies and inquired what the pricing would consist of for a private label supplement brand.  One company proceeded to tell me that it would be a minimum of 300 bottles to start a private label supplement brand with them and there would be a product cost in addition to the custom label costs.

Before I jumped into the heavens above and screamed eureaka, I had to steady myself and think further.  Is there truly a market for this and what companies currently occupy the space at this time.  I found a company in Japan which has actually brought a product out in chewable form which is supposed to help as brain food along with helping your eyes at the same time.  You can find this information here:

During my research, my mind started to drift towards potential domains which can be registered for such an idea.  Lets just say that the domaining industry has already moved forward with potential registrations.  One of the domains I found was gamingvitamins.com, ofcourse this domain was already registered.  To make a long story short, the market for gaming supplements / vitamins could definitely be a future.  Now I have to make a tough decision on whether I want to be at the forefront of such an industry here in the states.
