Goodwill.com Sells For $55,978 On NameJet
With a total of 105 bidders, goodwill.com rakes in a five figure sum on NameJet. Some say that this domain was a complete steal and others are mentioning that this domain is a hot bed for legal issues. Goodwill.org,which is owned and operated by Goodwill Industries International, Inc. could potentially cause a problem for the new domain owner.
It should be interesting to see what happens in this case and I will make sure to keep a close eye on any news surrounding the domain name.

Great sale price but I think the buyer may have just bought a $55,000 legal battle!

@ Morgan: Agreed. Not even worth the time, IMO. “Goodwill” is a dictionary word, but… PPC on this would probably be suicide considering:
1) I’m sure 99% of the traffic would want Goodwill.org (non-converting)
2) PPC ads with “Goodwill” (goodwill.org) might result in a UDRP.
Curious to see what will happen to this in the future.

Well said Morgan. There still seems to be a trend in this industry for some individuals to go after domains names which infringe on a trademark. I guess I’ll never understand that part.
